Earlier tonight, skies across the country witnessed the breathtaking beauty of the Total Lunar Eclipse, as the Moon slowly entered Earth’s shadow and transformed into a deep copper-red during totality. For hours, families, students, and sky enthusiasts gathered at PAGASA stations nationwide to observe this remarkable celestial alignment through our telescopes.
From the PAGASA Astronomical Observatory in UP Diliman to our regional offices in Northern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the shared excitement was unmistakable. Despite varying local weather conditions, many were treated to clear views of the eclipsed Moon—a powerful reminder of the dynamic Sun–Earth–Moon system at work.
